Without much noise, Kawasaki launched the Ninja 300 KRT edition replacing its previoussports bike model, Ninja 300 that was launched in November 2015. For those who wonder what this new three letter addition means, the company has stated that KRT stands for Kawasaki Racing Team. The new avatar KRT edition is available at a price of Rs.3.61 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai) at all Kawasaki outlets across the nation.
While there had not been any official launch of this vehicle as such, this motorcycle seems to be on display at all the authorised showrooms, which is why we earlier used the phrase “without much noise”. Bookings are being accepted by dealers across the nation already.
Kawasaki has given the KRT edition a new paint scheme, in green and black livery. This is said to be a self-inspired theme from Kawasaki’s World Superbike Championship. Cool stickers of Kawasaki Racing Team, ‘KRT’ badges adjacent to the fuel cap andblack fairing at the bottom adorn the Ninja 300 KRT promising to stand distinct in the crowd.
No mechanical changes are seen while compared to its old version. The All new Ninja 300 KRTis powered by a 296 cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine that delivers a maximum output of 39 PS at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm, mated to a 6-speed transmission.This sports bike has been employedwith 37mm hydraulic telescopic fork at the front and a mono shock absorber at the rear.KRT 300 boasts of a ground clearance of 140mm and weights 172 kg. Indian variant of KRT 300 doesn’t seem to have the ABS feature which stands as the only drawback while competing with Yamaha R3.
Apparently KRT 300 seems to be the last model from the company this year, while next year a launch of Ninja ZX-10R is expected in India.

Royal Enfield motorcycles powered by BS-IV engines are now available in India. The entire lineup is said to have received the engine upgrades with AHO (Automatic Headlamp On) feature (both being stringent norms), even though no official statement has been released by the company yet. According to reports from financial express, Electra 350 was spotted already on sale at one of the company dealerships with updated features as the BS-IV engine and AHO. Other models too are believed to go on sale with the same upgrades in another week, as April 1st, 2017 is the deadline for these norms to be implemented on all motor vehicles in India. The prices have been hiked for the new range of BS-IV motorcycles from Royal Enfield.

Yamaha launched its latest offering in the FZ series named FZ 25 as a gentle step towards the booming 250cc bike segment. Comfortably placed between the YZF R15 version 2.0 and YZF R3, this motorcycle marks Yamaha’s entry into the performance bike segment which is being dominated by giants like Royal Enfield, KTM and Bajaj Auto. The bike was initially named as FZ 250, but later the company decided to dump the 0 and name it FZ 25.
