Honda City 2017, one of the most anticipated cars of this new year is all set to be launched on the 14th of February. The best seller sedan that once ruled the Indian streets had lost its market in its course, due to an array of new launches in the country. Honda expects to win back the market share with this facelift model and therefore planned to enter India well ahead of the launch of its rivals. The Honda City facelift that made its global debut in Thailand last month has chosen Valentine’s Day as the right day to enter the Indian market. Honda has begun to accept bookings for the same at a token amount of Rs.21,000 through its nationwide dealerships.
Honda City 2017 almost resembles the Greiz launched in China, while it looks more like the Civic too. A lot of features have been added to the new facelift version as part of cosmetic changes. The exteriors on the front gets a honeycomb mesh grille with redesigned headlamps, new LED daytime running lamps and circular fog lamps, 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, huge air intakes and a sleeker looking chrome bar that houses the prestigious ‘H’. The rear gets a new spoiler mounted on the tailgate, along with an LED stop lamp.
Interiors carry an added set of features such as a 7- inch touchscreen infotainment system, touch controls for AC, reverse parking camera, LED lights inside the cabin, and an adjustable steering wheel. It also features leather seats and an electric one touch operating Sunroof. Not much is known about the safety features but confirms the presence of six airbags as standard.
The New Honda City will be equipped with the same engines (1.5L Petrol and 1.5L Diesel) as on the existing model, but with a better suspension. Petrol variants will also feature a CVT 7-speed transmission while the new 6-speed manual transmission, borrowed from the Honda BR-V will be available as standard. Prices are expected to be somewhere around Rs.9 lakhs plus.
Honda City Facelift will likely compete against the likes of Hyundai Verna and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Facelift.

Bentley launched the Bentayga in India in the year 2016. Back then, it was a W12 petrol engine and was claimed to be the fastest SUV of its time. Two years past its debut, Bentley has come up with a less powerful version of the same powered by a V8 petrol engine. The former was priced at Rs. 3.85 crore while the latter is priced at Rs. 3.78 crore (ex-showroom) in India.

Hindustan Motors has signed an agreement with Peugeot, selling Ambassador Brand and certain related rights at a sum of Rs.80 crore. It also said that the proceeds of the sale will be used to clear all pending dues of employees and lenders.

Honda WR-V (Winsome Runabout Vehicle), the sub compact crossover was unveiled at the 2016 Sao Paulo Motor Show in Brazil. Now, Honda is about to launch the same here in the country on March 16th, 2017. As WR-V rolls here, India will earn the name for being the first country to produce and launch it in the world. Previously named as the Jazz Twist, this crossover is based on the company’s best seller Honda Jazz but is slightly longer and taller than the latter.
